We’re the “Union” for construction craft unions.  We work together as a team with other labor unions, the business community, governments, non-profits, and education institutions to make our communities healthy and prosperous.  We have worked with these other organizations to pass school levies and bonds, establish local apprenticeship utilization agreements, promote sustainable health care coverage models, and encourage “green” design and construction just to name a few.   
Our affiliated unions represent several thousand construction workers in the Inland Northwest employed in the private sector.  In order for our contractors to succeed in the highly competitive construction industry our members must be highly motivated, highly skilled and highly productive.  We work closely with our contractors to identify and pursue the safest, most cost-effective construction practices.  We know that if our contractors are successful in securing work our members will benefit and so will the local businesses where we spend our hard earned wages.
The members of our affiliates are your family, friends, and neighbors.  We coach the little league teams, worship with you, are Den Mothers and Scout Leaders, volunteer to help those less fortunate, and like you, want the best for our families now and in the future.  We’re invested so heavily in our communities because we know that as our community goes, so go we.
